The Rural Municipality of Wilton No. 472 is located east and south of the City of Lloydminster. The RM is home to extensive industrial development, highway commercial development, prime farmland, oil and gas development and residential development. Crosby Hanna has been retained twice, originally in 2012 and again in 2023 to draft an Official Community Plan and Zoning Bylaw. The RM of Wilton is a complex municipality with a high amount of development activity including oil and gas development. The RM’s OCP and Zoning Bylaw include policies and regulations that are easy to interpret and fair to administer and enforce. Considerations for future development include roads, hazardous industrial uses and industrial park locations and the impact of the Husky Heavy Oil Upgrader on surrounding areas. Crosby Hanna has also assisted the RM of Wilton in development review, subdivision planning and the preparation of servicing agreements.
