The Meewasin Rink was appointed Reader’s Digest Best Skating Rink in Canada in 2006.  Located in Kiwanis Park at the edge of Downtown Saskatoon, and near major hotels, this rink is a major focus of casual winter recreation. Consisting of a new public washroom and a seasonal skater’s lodge, the project focused primarily on the development of a well-landscaped, accessible linkage connecting to the lower park terrace. Sensitive facility siting and complex grading were critical challenges.
